Level 2 NVQ in Barbering

Course: 04/01/2010
This course is to prepare candidates wanting to work as barbers allowing them to gain experience in basic cutting, perming, colouring and beard trimming. Candidates are assessed on the units below by creating a portfolio of evidence and undertaking practical assessments to prove competency. They will also participate in workshops, seminars, shows and competitions.

NVQ in Management Level 3

This course is aimed at first line managers with responsibility for; managing budgets, allocating work to team members/colleagues/contractors, achieving specific results and some decision making. The qualification aims to give participants an opportunity to develop their management performance, become more effective and to progress their career. You will be assessed on the units below by creating a portfolio of evidence to prove your overall competency.

Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) Level 3/4

The qualification is required for all those whose job role or career aspirations are covered by the Associate Teacher role. An associate teacher is someone who carries out fewer responsibilities than someone in a full teaching role. The qualification is suitable for those who work or want to work as: Teachers in the Lifelong Learning Sector, i.e. further, adult and community education, work-based learning. Provided they are qualified/experienced in the subject they intend to teach at the appropriate level.

Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Level 3/4

The qualification provides an entry point and introduction for those new to teaching and training or those wishing to teach or train. It is the qualification for those seeking a 'stepping stone' to qualifications that entitle them to teach in the sector in either an 'Associate Teacher' or 'Full Teacher' role. It provides progression to the Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS).
